This newly built wooden chalet is ideal for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. It is set on its own private plot of land with a waterfall and stream running through. Within walking distance to the nearby village of Meautis where you will be able to buy delicious French bread! It gives the feeling of getting away from it all without being remote, has easy access to the nearby town of Carentan where you will find plenty of shops/bars and restaurants, and is a good base in which to explore the many D-Day sites.
The chalet sleeps 4 comfortably thanks to the new extension which has recently been built. This now has 1 double bedroom with twin beds, 1 bunk room and full size convertible sofa bed in the lounge. It also gives you your kitchen /dining facilities, shower, toilet, electric and water.
The site has its own private parking and is surrounded by the traditional Normandy bocage hedgerows, giving the feeling of seclusion. For the wildlife enthusiasts this is an ideal opportunity to view boar, deer, storks, kingfishers, waterfowl, hares, birds of prey which guests have enjoyed.
The small stream contains roach, rudd, small carp and eels which children (and adults!) have enjoyed catching, so feel free to bring a rod. There is a good grass area for playing outdoor activities, or if that all sounds too strenuous there is a south facing terrace where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine!
The open plan living area consists of a fully equipped kitchen, dining area for four and a lounge area with tv (english channels) dvd player
There are two bedrooms, a double room with twin beds, and a Bunk room (the picture has been taken to show the bunk beds are full size singles)
Bed linen (except towels), electric, gas and water are included in the rental
