Our lake suits up to 4 anglers max with 4 bivvy swims available, 2 singles and a double, it also suits the mobile angler as there are several prime stalking spots
Lake stock consists of the original stock - carp, tench roach, rudd, pike and eels supplemented with 48 carp up to 30 lb. Standard carp catches average between 12- 22lb, so i would describe this as a well stocked coarse lake with surprises. I will update this information as I learn the lake myself!
Update :- after a year of fishing, the lake record carp is 31lb 4oz so far. Eels have been caught up to 2lb, tench 1lb 6oz, roach 1lb 9oz and one pike by accident 8lb 7oz (will have a go specifically for them this winter) and carp stock easily in excess of 150 with average session weight of 14lb
The lake was originally a mill pond, and as a result is relatively shallow, but well balanced, with depths ranging from 2ft in the sand margins to 4ft in the silt centre. The fish seem to be thriving in this environment, and putting on weight yearly.
There is a chalet available to those that don’t want to sleep under canvas, this sleeps 2 comfortably or 4 if you know each other well as it is open plan.! It also gives you your kitchen facilities, shower, toilet, electric and water and is situated just across the road next to the stream out flow and parking area.
There is a toilet shed and water tap on the lake side for bivvy fishermen along with a bait fridge. We supply unhooking mats and landing nets for up to four anglers.
The chalet has a toilet/shower room, the rest is open planned with kitchenette, twin beds and a double sofa bed. It is fully equipped with:
Fridge, 2 gas ring hob, small electric fan grill/oven
Pots & Pans
Crockery, cutlery and glassware
SAT TV/DVD Player
We will be only offering limited bookings from April to October every 2 weeks so no back to back . One fixed price for up to 4 anglers including accommodation at £500 per week lake exclusive, we do not live on site.
Obviously we want you to enjoy your holiday but have some standard lake rules to protect our fish stocks and environment.
